The EKV was used from east-German news-services, by the army "NVA" and on ships.
The RX was produced to beginning of the seventies in different models and configurations of the VEB Funkwerk Köpenick.
The receiver is full-transistorized and works with mechanical IF-filters, ISB-demodulator, diversity-option and the FSK-demodulator.
This was newest of the communication-technology. After the reunification of the two German states came lot of
receivers on the market. Because of the high weight of 52kg, the receivers were usually to be received very favorably.


The range of the EKV without options: 1,6 - 30 MHz. The high absolute-precision and constance of the frequency input
reaches by using a thermostate for the 1 MHz main-oscillator. The main-oscillator decides the precision of that electrically
and mechanically n x 1 MHzes and n x 0,1 MHz-frequency steps. The 100 kHz-interpolations oscillator is in the same
thermostate installed too.


With the antenna-diversity-option AAD02 the electronic can be switch between 3 separate antennas or 3 antennas
with different polarization for receiving on ships or other mobile stations.
The currently selected antenna is shown at the control-instrument. Simultaneously you can use the AAD02 as antenna-selector
for 4 antennas.
The option "long wave converter" LZ01 got his own antenna jack. With the LZ01, the range will be 14 - 535 kHz and 1,6 - 30 MHz.

The receiver can be used with 24V DC or with 110/127 and 220 V AC.

Through pull out of the volume-knob
you can deactivate the speaker. (if you use headphones / teleprinter)
